Fine Art, Fine Wine, Fine Music Headline Reception for Authors and Artists
220 Communications and Kreations will host a kickoff reception for the 5th Annual Authors and Artists Chicago. Friday September 19th at the Ven Sherrod Image Gallery 1908 S. Halsted The Reception kicks off the 5th Annual Authors and Artists Chicago and features talented artisans from all over the Chicago area along with a special performance from Just Infinite the talented neo soul fusion band that breaks all boundaries the event promises to be "most fun you can pack in three hours". The event is Hosted by Pilar Audain Reed, owner of the North side boutique Kreative Souls and on air personality for WKCR radio.
Artists scheduled to appear Clifton Henri, Rashawn Taylor, Cheryl Toles, Basheer Alim, and S. Teresa. Each will have works on display for sale. Attendees will also have an opportunity to win a limited edition work of art valued at over $400 in a special prize drawing.
The event is a precursor to the Authors and Artists Book Fair to be held Saturday September 20th at Columbia College.623 South Wabash. Authors and Artists was created to highlight up and coming writers and artists and has expanded to include filmmakers and playwrites. The Saturday event will feature discussion panels on writing, marketing and taking your work to the next level. Guest author will be 5 times NY Times Best selling author Omar Tyree who begins his Triple Threat Tour in Chicago with his appearance at the event. A portion of the proceeds will go to Tyree's Urban Literacy Project. Tickets to the pre event reception are only $5, tickets to the Book Fair are $10.
